Maripat McKeever Mulvey formerly of Rye, New York, Stamford, CT and West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 1, 2016.

Maripat was born July 13, 1953 in Bronxville, New York to the late Stephen W. and Patricia A. (née Ryan) Mulvey. Previous part owner Brooklyn / Los Angeles Dodgers baseball club

Maripat graduated from Rye High School ('72) and attended Marymount College of Boca Raton. She spent much of her life working in the food service industry and as a medical assistant.

Maripat had a great love for the water, much like her mother before her. As a young child she enjoyed playing in the water and on the sand dunes of Breezy Point, New York with her siblings. As she got older, she enjoyed sailing, boating, and competitive swimming in Connecticut at her family's summer home on Candlewood Lake in New Milford. As a young adult in Rye she loved being near the water and spending time with friends and family at the Westchester Beach Club where she was regarded as a fine Backgammon player. In her later years Maripat loved living near her parents on the intracoastal waterway in West Palm Beach, Florida, admiring the storms and yachts from her balcony as she sat with her cats.

Maripat will be best remembered as a passionate lover of food and cooking. She passed this love on to her son, and it will always live on with her family.

Maripat is survived by brothers Stephen W. Mulvey, Jr. (Kathy) of Rye and Vero Beach, Florida; James Mulvey (Katharine) of Danbury, Connecticut; Kevin Mulvey (Urcel) of Harrison, New York; and Patrick Mulvey (Alice)of Danbury, Connecticut; sister Keelyn Mulvey Gunther (Bob) of Old Greenwich, Connecticut.

A mass will be held on December 3rd at 10 a.m. at the Resurrection Church in Rye New York.
