MARTIN CONSIDINE Obituary

Martin P. Considine, native of County Clare, Ireland, a Yonkers resident and a retired milkman, died Sunday, October 17, 1999 at Schnurmacher Nursing Home in White Plains. He was 87. He was born October 4, 1912 in County Clare, Ireland to Denis and Bridget McMahon. He immigrated to the United States in the mid-1930's and served in the United States Army during World War II under General Patton. On June 30, 1946, he married Nora Kelly at the Church of St Ignatius Loyola in New York City. She died on June 21, 1997. Mr. Considine lived in Yonkers for 52 years. He was a milkman for Borden's Milk Company in Mt Vernon and Dellwood Milk Company in Yonkers for almost 30 years. He was a parishioner of St Barnabas Roman Catholic Church in the Bronx. Mr Considine is survived by his daughter Mary Considine of Hartsdale, NY and his son Martin Considine and daughter-in-law Joan of Pelham Manor, NY. Two sisters, Delia Doyle of Yonkers and Katherine Halpin of Hasbrouch Heights, NJ, and one granddaughter Elizabeth Considine. Three brothers, Michael, Denis and Patrick and two sisters Mary Kelly and Anne O'Keefe died earlier. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the David J. Hodder & Son Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Wednesday at 9:45am at St Barnabas Church (Bronx). Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. DAVID J HODDER & SON 899 McLean Ave, Yonkers (914)237-5800
