MARY FRANZESE Obituary

Mary Victoria Franzese died Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Mary was born in the Bronx on January 30, 1933 to Victoria and Emanuel Paolicelli, where she lived with her parents and her sisters, Angelina Marguerita, Lucy and Carmela. In 1952, Mary graduated from Jane Adams Vocational High School in the Bronx. After High School, she worked at Con Edison as a secretary in Manhattan until her first child was born in 1960. Mary met Michael Paul Franzese in 1952 and they were married on April 8, 1956 at Mount Carmel Church in the Bronx. Mary and her family resided in the Bronx until 1968. They then moved to Yonkers, where they were parishioners of Christ the King Church. During Mary's years in Yonkers, she worked at Caldor's of Yonkers from 1975 to 1998, where she was a sales associate. After her retirement, Mary was an active member of the St.Joseph Arts and Leisure Club of Bronxville. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael Paul Franzese and their three children, Paul, Laura and Mark and her daughters-in-law, Susan and Karen and her son-in-law, David. She also leaves behind four grandsons, Michael Christopher, Nicholas and Alex. Mary is also survived by her sister, Carmela Donadio and her brothers-in-law, Louis Donadio and Louis Zillante and her cousin, Virginia Franzese. Visiting hours will be Saturday 7 to 9 pm and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers. The Funeral Mass will be at Christ the King in Yonkers at 10 am, Monday, August 25 and the Burial will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
