MARYANNE DIXON Obituary

DIXON, MARYANNE R. Maryanne R. Dixon, 72 years, of Naples, FL, formerly of New City, died July 19, 2005 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY. She was a retired RN with Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ. Born on April 9, 1933 to the late Gerald Morrison, Sr. and Anne Tomasi Morrison . She was married to William E. Dixon for 48 years. She is survived by her husband William E. Dixon at home, sons: William A. Dixon of Haverstraw; Richard G. Dixon of Naples, FL; Steven E. Dixon and wife Clare of Montgomery, one daughter Barbara Jean Klinger and husband Sam of Harriman, NY; one sister Lorraine Klecar of Congers, NY; one brother John Morrison and wife Fran of Valley Cottage NY; sister-in-law Joan Burke and husband Huey of Naples, FL. Sister-in-law Ellen O'Neal and husband Charles of Bronx, NY; grandchildren: Samantha Klinger, Ryan Klinger, Danielle Dixon, Matthew Dixon. Predeceased by Ann Morrison, brother Gerald Morrison, Jr., and Edmund Morrison. Beloved aunt to many loving and caring nieces and nephews and very loyal, devoted friend to many whoever came to know Maryanne. Maryanne was a very kind, gentle soul who was a very compassionate woman. In the middle of her life, she decided to become a nurse, where she excelled academically in nursing school and was an Exceptional nurse caring for many in her 20 years in the field. Maryanne enjoyed spending her free and special times with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, painting, bingo, quiet times, computer games, free cell and solitaire, animals, especially her dog "Gabbi". Maryanne, "Gran Mare", Mom and Aunt Maryanne, you will be sorely missed. We love you very much, You're the best!!!! Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM and 7-9 PM on July 22, 2005 on Friday. Mass will be at 10 am Saturday, July 23, 2005 at St. Anastasia Church in Harriman, NY.
