MATTHEW HEALEY Obituary

Matthew Healey of Valley Cottage died on October 27, 2003. He was 38. Matthew was born April 22, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Susan (Heege) Healey. He had lived in Rockland County for 15 years; prior to that, he resided in Brooklyn. Matthew had been a US Marshall for 15 years. He married Dawn Young on December 4, 1993 in Our Lady of the Angels in Bayridge, Brooklyn. Matthew was a member of St. Paul's RC Church in Congers and he was an avid Yankees fan. He is survived by his wife Dawn; son Patrick; and daughter Kailee. Also surviving him are his mother Susan; brother Edward and his wife Sallyann; sister Lori and her husband Ray Wasson; mother-in-law Patricia Young; sister-in-law Lori and Ugo Flores and sister Tara Lutz and Michael Burns; three nieces; and two nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Michael J. Higgins F.H., New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at St. Paul's RC Church in Congers with Burial to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
