Maurice Bubbico Obituary

Maurice (Moe) Bubbico

Henderson, NV - Maurice (Moe) Bubbico, born September 23, 1949 in Yonkers, NY passed away peacefully in his home in Henderson, NV on April 14th, surrounded by his family.

Moe had a long career with Teamster's Local #456 in Elmsford, NY and retired in 2011 as the Director of Education & Training, as well as the Director of their E.A.P. program. Over the years, Moe had the honor and privilege of working with numerous union members. Moe was a member of L.A.P. (Labor Assistance Program); a position that was one of his deepest prides. Moe's deep passion for helping others with addiction issues will be felt for many years to come; he leaves a legacy of friendships throughout the country.

He leaves behind his wife Aideen of 15 years, two step-daughters, Gabriela Marquez, and Christina Guadagno both of Las Vegas, NV as well as son-in-law Christian Marquez. Moe leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as a great-great-nephew. Moe's fur babies Isabella and Sophia are going to miss him dearly.

Until we meet again, may his gentle soul rest in peace.

I got to know Moe through the HOA board. I learned so much from him and for the rest of my life I will try to model my actions on his. He was patient, thoughtful and above all kind. He LOVED his family. He LOVED his wife. They were his absolute happy place. I loved to see the joy spread on his face when he talked of them. My father was an alcoholic who died young and tormented. Seeing that Moe had made it, as I thought, "to the other side" gave me peace and hope. How lucky are we to have had him in our lives?
