FREEMAN, REVEREND NANCY BELL DIXON

On February 14, 2011 Rev. Nancy Bell Dixon Freeman went home to glory. She was born March 4, 1937 in Roba, AL, to the late Rev. Frank D. Dixon and his wife, the late Ethel Mae Dixon. After moving to New York, Rev. Freeman became a member of the Mount Hope AME Zion Church in White Plains, NY and remained a loyal member to this day. In 1978, her church, Dixon African Methodist Episcopal Zion Mission was formally admitted into the New York Annual Conference and in 2002, Rev. Freeman celebrated thirty years in the ministry. Rev. Freeman is survived by her five children Sandra E. French, Sandy Enelle Freeman Jr., Emmanuel Freeman, Anthony Freeman and Roderick Freeman Sr., a sister Mrs. Frankie Mae Wade, and five brothers, Louis A. Dixon Sr. James Dixon, Oscar L. Dixon Sr. Rev. Alphonso Dixon and the late Rev. Pete Dixon, twelve grands and four great grands.
