NICHOLAS FRANCHELLA Obituary

FRANCHELLA, NICHOLASNicholas Franchella also known as Nicholas Frank, a resident of Port Chester died December 21, 2004. He was 86 and was born December 19, 1918 in Kittaning, PA, to the late Domenick and Irene Triola Franchella. He was raised and educated in Port Chester. Mr, Franchella served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was married in Greenwich, CT on October 6, 1954 to Marie Fiumano. He was the retired owner of Square Stationary Store in Port Chester. Mr. Franchella was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Franchella of Port Chester, NY, beloved father of Dominic Franchella of Norwalk, CT, Peter Franchella of Rye, NY and Nina Zvon of Port Chester, NY; and dear grandfather of eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Frank of Port Chester and sisters Mary Marianacci of Port Chester, NY, Rose Albeke of Cos Cobb, CT, Elizabeth Cardea of NC, Phyllis Fado and Ann Fado both of Greenwich, CT. Visitation will be 8-9 am on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 am on Thursday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Port Chester, NY. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Mr. Franchella may be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 229 Willett Avenue, Port Chester, NY.
