NINA MORTON Obituary

Nina M. Morton of North Salem, NY died Wednesday August 5, 2009 in New York City at the age of 70. Ms. Morton was born June 13, 1939 in Bronx, NY daughter of the late Frank and Antonetta (Musorrafiti) Calarco. She graduated from the Academy Of The Sacred Heart Of Mary High School in 1956 then graduated from B.O.C.E.S<$> Nina moved into the families summer residence in North Salem permanently in 1968 and was a Nurse for thirty three years at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco until retiring in 2004. Nina continued as a volunteer at the Hospital until recently and was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Croton Falls. She is survived by four sons, Lawrence Morton of Warren, OH, Peter Morton of Johnstown, NY, John Morton of Georgia, VT, Thomas Morton of Wingdale, NY a daughter Laura Allan of Fishers, IN, three brothers, Nick Calarco of Hayward, CA, Peter Calarco of Franklin Square, NY, John Calarco of Valhalla, NY a sister Leona Delvalle of Glencove, NY and thirteen grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday August 8, 2009 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, Croton Falls, NY. Interment will following in St. Francis Cemetery, Mt. Kisco, NY. Friends may call at Beecher Funeral Home 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster on Fri from 2-4 and 79pm. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, 115 Broadway #13, NY, NY 1006-1604.
