DR. PAUL LLOYD JUAN

Dr. Paul L. Juan, a longtime resident of Bronxville, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2006. He was born to Paul Leo Juan and Lillian St. Jean Juan on February 9, 1935 in Greenwich, CT. Paul attended Fairfield Prep High School, Fordham University, Columbia University and University of Ottawa School of Medicine. Paul did his internship and residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. Paul served in the US Army as Captain from 1966 to 1968. He was a diplomat of the American Board of OB/GYN; fellow of the American College of Surgeons; served as President of the NY Gynecological Society from 1978 to 1979; and member of the NY County Medical Society. He was Director of the OB/GYN Department for 12 years at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in Manhattan. He was in private practice for over 30 years and was a professor of OB/GYN at New York Medical College. Paul was the loving husband of Lois (Murphy) Juan to whom he was married for close to 46 years. Survivors include four daughters: Patriciamae (Tom) Kikta, of Pittsburgh, PA, Mary Elizabeth (Willie) McGrath, of Oak Hill, VA, Kathleen (Keith) Yatsuhashi, of Norfolk, MA and Theresann (Bill) Potter, of Northborough, MA; and four sons: Dr. Paul E. (Leslie), of Greenwich, CT, James (Tracy), of Cherry Hill, NJ, William (Mary), of Big Flats, NY, and Christopher, of Westborough, MA. Loving grandfather to Matt, Ben, Tim and Emily Kikta; Meaghan, Anne Marie, Kevin and Jack McGrath; Corey, Alex and Avery Juan; Lynn Marie, Michael and Christopher Juan; Nicholas, Owen and Henry Juan; Caitlin, Jeffrey and Justin Yatsuhashi; and Tyler, Quinn and Morgan Potter. Arrangements are being made by Fred H. McGrath & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 20 Cedar Street at Kraft Avenue, Bronxville. Visiting hours are Friday, June 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville, NY on Saturday, June 3rd at 10 am.
