PAULINE BISCHOFF Obituary

Pauline M. Bischoff, 87 years old, a life long Peekskill resident, died November 11, 2005 at Field Home Holy Comforter, where she resided for the past few years. She was born in Peekskill on April 24, 1918 to William A. and Catherine Doring Booth. She worked as an Executive Secretary at Graymoor for 13 years; then as a sales clerk and department manager at W.T. Grant at the Beach Shopping Center for 16 years; then as a cook at the Assumption Rectory for over five years. Pauline was a member of the Church of the Assumption where she served on the Parish Council for many years, was active in the Legion of Mary, the Parish Cenacle, the 3rd Order of St. Francis and was regent for 11 years with the Catholic Daughters of America. She also was a Past President of the St. Joseph's Auxiliary of St. Joseph's Home in Peekskill, and a former active member of the Peekskill Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her nephew Gary (Meredith) Booth of Walkill, niece Judy Petrizzo of Newburgh, great-nephews and nieces Shawn (Jennifer) Booth, Joseph Petrizzo, Jennifer Petrizzo, greatgreat-niece and nephew Hayley Lynn Booth and Hunter David Booth; stepsons John E. Bischoff, Jr. and Martin C. Bischoff, stepdaughters Maryellen Roberts, Kathleen Minnerly and Denise Bischoff and sister-in-law Ethel Booth of Newburgh. She was predeceased by her brother Walter A. Booth, her 1st husband J. Donald McGinnis and her 2nd husband John E. (Jack) Bischoff. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 pm Monday, November 14 and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday, November 15 at the E.O. CURRY FUNERAL HOME, 313 North James St., Peekskill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said 10 am Wednesday, November 16 at the Church of the Assumption followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
