PHILIP GENUSSA Obituary

Philip P. Genussa, a longtime resident of Bedford, NY died at his home January 25, 2001. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana the son of Sam and Louis (DiLeonarda) Genussa. He was a graduate of Pace University with a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Mr. Genussa worked for 26 years as Vice President of Investments, for Prudential Securities, White Plains. He was previously an Executive Vice President of Robintech Inc., in Mt. Kisco. Mr. Genussa served in the US Airforce, during WWII, as a navigator on a B24 Liberator Bomber flying 32 missions over Germany. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and awarded Air Medal with 30 Oakleaf Clusters four times. He attained the rank of First Lieutenant. He was a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Mt. Kisco, a member of the Mt. Kisco Rotary and long time Parishioner of St. Patrick's Church, Bedford. He enjoyed photography and travel. Survivors include his wife Carole A. (nee Calabrese), daughter, Kim Knowles of Bedford Hills, son Philip P. Jr., of Brewster and two grandsons Michael Knowles and Andrew and granddaughter Lee Ann Genussa. Visitation Sunday January 28, 2001, 2-4 and 7-9PM at Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home, Inc. Mass 11AM Monday at St. Patrick's Church, Bedford NY. Interment St. Francis Cemetery , Mt.
