REGINA COLA Obituary

Regina T. "Reg" Cola (nee Ferris), a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Wednesday August 18, 2010 at St. John's Riverside Hospital. She was 76 years old. She was born on August 14, 1934 to Thomas and Margaret Kelly Ferris in Yonkers where she was raised and educated graduating from Sacred Heart High School. Mrs. Cola was a realtor with J. Martin Realty in Yonkers for several years. Previously, she worked at Romano Realty in Yonkers. Mrs. Cola was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She was also active in the Yonkers Conservative Party. In 1953, she married Charles A. Cola, Jr. in Yonkers. Mr. Cola died on June 11, 1989. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Cola and his wife Patricia of Yonkers and Charles Cola III (former Yonkers Police Commissioner) and his wife Theresa of Yonkers, one daughter, Gina Cola of New York City and three sisters, Joan Liberatore, Arlene DeMarsh and Colleen Tellone. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Thomas, Charles and Timothy "Timmy" Cola and many nieces and nephews and her cherished Yorkie, Sunny Boy. She was predeceased by three sons, Richard, Edward and Robert Cola, a brother, Dennis B. Ferris and a sister Margaret Mary Tritten. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday August 21st at 9:30 AM.
