Robert Rose Obituary
Robert J. Rose Sr. passed away on October 7, 2015. He was born to Mary Lodini and James Rose in Grassy Point, NY on August 13, 1942. He was a lifelong resident of North Rockland, living in West Haverstraw since 1977, prior to that he was a resident of Grassy Point, NY. He worked for Rockland County Highway Department for over 40 years and retired in 1997 as an Assistant General Foreman in Stony Point. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his close friends at the Haverstraw Marina. Robert will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and poppy whose greatest joy came from his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife Beverly of West Haverstraw; son Robert J. Rose Jr. (Gerri) of Pearl River, NY; daughters, Antoinette Mackey of Newburg, NY; Kimberly Medora (Philip) of Washingtonville, NY; brother John Rose of Haverstraw, NY; sister Regina Bremer of Montgomery, NY; grandchildren, Gianna Medora, Alyssa Rose and Christopher Rose as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Robert is predeceased by 2 grandsons, Dominick Medora and Matthew Rose.
Family will receive visitors on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., Stony Point. Mass of Christian burial will take place Saturday 10am at Immaculate Conception Church followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY.
