I met Robert at Omega Institute in the 1990s. He was a lovely man. I have a copy of poems he wrote from 1987-1993. I would be happy to return the book to the family. I´ve left my email address below. May his memory be a blessing.

I always enjoyed speaking with Mr. Sheridan--I enjoyed hearing about his love for the packers, his work for the NYT, and his travels around the streets of NYC-- he was a kind and gentle man and I am fortunate to have met him. May his memory be an eternal blessing.

I am so sorry to here of Mr. Sheridan's passing. I met him 20 years ago and in our many conversations we would speak about his walks through NYC, his Green Bay Packers, and his work at the Times. He was a special man and I feel privileged to have know him. May his family be comforted by their warm memories of him.

I was one of Bob's colleagues at The Milwaukee Journal, and one of the great disappointments of my career was that he and I worked together for only about a year and a half. I met Bob when I was a summer intern on the copy desk in 1971 and he immediately became a mentor-- holding me to high journalistic standards but clearly eager to help me start my career well. My admiration and affection for him grew as I joined the full-time staff, and I was sad to see him depart for the Times-- while knowing that he'd be one of their greatest assets. I have always been grateful that my career began with Bob's help and friendship.
