Russell Marra Sr.

Russell Marra, Sr., 74, of West Harrison, died December 12, 1999 at White Plains Hospital. Mr. Marra was born May 5, 1925 in Brooklyn to Carmella (DeSola) Marra and Anthony Marra; both deceased. On October 23, 1949, he married Mary Ann Chiaravalloti in Mt. Carmel Church, White Plains; she survives. Mr. Marra attended White Plains HS and graduated Mechanic Institute of NY with honors. He was an active member of VFW Vincent Grillo Post 5463. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua, West Harrison and a lifelong West Harrison resident. He owned Russell Marra Plumbing and Heating until his retirement in 1987. He was a WWII Navy veteran, serving from 1943 - 1946. Besides his wife, he is also survived by his children Russell Marra, Jr., JoAnne Kohn, Michele Bellantoni, a brother, John Marra, a sister, Faye Carille, six grandchildren, Jason, Elizabeth, Suzanne, Lauren, Teresa and Marissa. A brother, Tommy Marra, predeceased him. Visiting hours Wednesday and Thursday from 5-9pm. Funeral Mass Friday 10am, St. Anthony's Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
