RUTH CORAM Obituary

Ruth Louise Coram was born on March 24, 1920 in Springfield, MA to the late Clarence and Emmy Coles. She died on July 15, 2004 after a brief illness. Ruth was raised in Greenburgh, NY. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Libby Castleberry and her older sister, Katherine Epps. Also predeceased by her son, Raymond Coles; her husband, Raymond Coram and longtime companion, Thomas Liggins. Ruth was a domestic worker, participating in raising many children along the way. She leaves to mourn two of those children: Bradley and Susan Burnside; her nieces: Paralee Cook and June Castleberry; her cousin, Gloria Jackson and a host of other relatives and friends. Ruth was loved by all and will be sorely missed. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, 12 noon, at the Union Baptist Church, 31 Manhattan Ave., Greenburgh, NY. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 am until 12 noon. Arrangements being handled by Andre F. Baker Funeral Home, White Plains, NY.
