SONIA HORNYAK DOWLING

Sonia Hornyak Dowling, a former resident of Rockland County, New York died Sunday, November 3, 2002 in Long Beach, California. She was 68 years old. Sonia was born on August 14th, 1934 in Nyack, New York to Stephen and Anna Hornyak. She graduated from Nyack High School in June, 1952 and lived in Rockland County for 51 years. She relocated to Long Beach, California in 1985 and returned from MobileComm in 1995. Sonia is survived by her son, Richard Dowling, of Nyack, New York, her three daughters Susan Houghtelling, of Elmira, New York. Diane Dowling of Pomona, New York, and Stephanie Lopez of Long Beach California, five grandchildren, Ashley, Stephan, and Alfredo Lopez and Richard and Emily Houghtelling. She is also survived by her sister, MaryAnn Hanlon, of San Francisco, California. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Ann's Church, Nyack, New York on Saturday, November 16, 2002 at 11:00 AM.
