Stanley Lapicki Obituary
Stanley W. Lapicki, a longtime Tarrytown resident, died on December 18, 2011. He was 89.
Mr. Lapicki was born on May 20, 1922 to William and Josephine Lapicki in Ossining. He was a 1942 graduate of Ossining High School. On September 22, 1946 he married Concetta Mosiello in Immaculate Conception Church.
Stanley was a Police Officer in the Village of Tarrytown for 22 years and then worked for 32 years for Gibralter Management as the Building Engineer for the property at 150 White Plains Road in Tarrytown.
He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Elmo's Council, Westchester County PBA, VFW Post 1939, and Consolidated Engine of the Tarrytown Fire Department. He loved going to casinos as well as golfing, fishing, and hunting.
He is survived by his son Michael (Catherine) Lapicki of Ossining and his daughter Diane Lapicki of Mahopac. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren Megan (Bill) Landers, Katie (Mike) Wilde, Elizabeth Lapicki, and Russell Barrella as well as his 2 great grandchildren Declan and Failenn who both lovingly referred to him as G.G. He is also survived by his brother Theodore Lapicki of Briarcliff. He was predeceased by his wife Concetta on February 22, 1990 as well as his sister Paula Fuller.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME INC. in Tarrytown. His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at St. Theresa's Church in Briarcliff. Time will be announced. His interment follows at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
