STELLA A. SABIA

Stella A. Sabia a resident of Port Chester died February 9, 2001. She was 79 and born May 8, 1921 in Port Chester to the late Michael and Karolina Wilk Zadlo. She was raised and educated in Port Chester. She was married in Greenwich, CT to Daniel Joseph Sabia. Mrs Sabia was a machine operator for 17 years until her retirement for Fitzhugh Manufacturing in Port Chester, NY. Prior to that she was a cashier for First National Grocery Stores in Old Greenwich and Stamford, CT. She was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester and a member of the Byram Veterans Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband Daniel J. Sabia of Port Chester, son Michael D. Sabia and wife Denise of Byram, CT., daughters, Joan Stein and husband Gary of Brookfield, CT and Debra LoParco and husband Daniel of Port Chester, NY, sister Mary Gardocki of Rye Brook, NY, 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Zadlo and sisters Francis MacDonald and Stephanie Skrzypczak. Visitation will be at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., 40 Leicester St., Port Chester, NY on Sunday February 11, 2001 from 5-9PM. Funeral Mass will be at Corpus Christi Church South Regent St., Port Chester, NY on Monday February 12 at 10:00AM.
