STEPHEN CHIASCIONE Obituary

Stephen A. Chiascione, M.D. departed this life on October 4, 2001. He was born on January 22, 1927 to Anna and Rugiero Chiascione in Yonkers, New York. On May 18, 1957 he married Lenna Rosa Colbertaldo at St. Bartholomew's Church. He graduated Fordham University and received his medical degree from Georgetown University in 1955. Dr. Chiascione served his internship at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, New York and was in general practice in Yonkers from 1956 until his retirement in 1993. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lenna Rosa, his daughter, Francesca Frechen of New York City and three sons, Stephen Chiascione of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, Roger Chiascione of Yonkers, New York and Robert Chiascione, M.D. of Las Vegas, Nevada. Surviving also is a brother, Thomas Chiascione of Toms River, New Jersey and four sisters, Marie Chiascione, Margaret Serino and Anne Talone, all of Yonkers, New York and Regina Ciriello of Hastings-on-Hudson. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren, Lenna Maria, Samantha, Frederico Josef, Shannon and Roger Alexander. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers, Avenue, Yonkers, New York on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass at St. Bartholomew's Church on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Gladney Center for Adoption, 2300 Hemphill, Fort Worth, Texas 76110 would be appreciated.
