Thomas Giampino Obituary

Giampino, Thomas Paul

Thomas Paul Giampino, age 84, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 after a long illness. Born in the Bronx, NY, he graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, NY and served in the US Army. A resident of Suffern, NY for over 50 years, Thomas owned and operated a dress factory in the Bronx and later worked for the Town of Ramapo Parks Department. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Florence, and a brother Frank. Thomas is survived by three siblings: Corinne Sassa, Linda Viebrock, and Robert; three daughters and their husbands: Donna and Michael Carpentieri, Tina and Anthony Guccione, and Linda and Rick Kushay; nine grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Jane Moser. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church In Suffern, NY. Burial will follow at F.W. Loescher Veteran's Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scarr Funeral Home Inc., Route 202, Suffern, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Disabled American Veterans of Rockland County #98, 20 Station Road, Pomona, New York 10970.
