For the last year, I have been intermittent looking for John. Then today I add "OBIT" to my search. Aaaaaaaaaaah geeeeze, he's gone. Soooooo sad.

John and I worked together in the late 1960s, at IBM in East Fishkill. I would affectionately call him a "Slurry Rat", as he worked with the slurry that cuts silicon wafers, at IBM. He would affectionately call me some Italian nickname.

John and I have gone down to NYC for the Italian feast, I believe it was "San Gennaro". We shared Italian holiday stories. Aaaaaaaaaaaah geeeeeeeeeeeez he's gone.

I am so sorry that he left us at such a young (relative) age. My searching for John is done. However, I sit here in Vail AZ, not wanting to believe he is gone.

To his family, please accept my deepest sympathy. I am at a loss for more words.

John my Italian brother, Goodbye for now. See you down the road.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. John and I worked together at IBM for many years. He was always positive and I will always remember John as a sincere and loyal person. John and his family always put on great traditional Italian dinners, and I was honored to be invited at one time. Even though we did not stay in-touch, I consider John a good friend. John is now with his LORD, where he is known as good and faithful.
To John's family and friends, take care and may God bless you and keep you throughout the years.

We are so saddened to learn of John's passing. John and I attended Hendrick Hudson High School together, and I remember him as a kind, gentle, and considerate person. He carried these beautiful traits with him into adulthood, stopping by to visit with my widowed mother, Natalie Furfaro, bringing her vegetables from his garden and soup and zeppoli from his and Linda's table. My family always loved the Serafino family - rare and wonderful people who blessed the world with their sweetness. We are praying for you all, and we thank God for sending into this world such a fine man as John.

Family, I'm very saddened by your loss. My Sincere Condolences. John, truly was a Good person. I was very fortunate to have had him for a friend. We are all better, for knowing him. His obituary rings true; the first time we met when we were 15; he got his friends and helped me push the car up 9th street. Lending a helping hand! to a complete stranger. We played basketball together, hitched hike home from, together, car pooled to work together; My dear Friend, John I'll miss you, RIP

Dear Linda and Family,

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of John. I had the privilege of working with John in DC Operations at IBM EF in the late 1970's and well into the 1980's along with our other wonderful IBM friends. Dear Linda, Vinnie and Gina,

Deepest condolences to the Serafino family from the Rodino family. Ron and I were both saddened to hear of John's passing. Ron worked with John at IBM and our children went to B-V together. Carry him in your hearts and he will never be far away.

I wrote this poem for a friend and have used it several times including my mother's funeral. It is written as if John is speaking to you from Heaven. I hope it helps to comfort all of you.

Try not to weep
I do not sleep
The angels just took me home.

Feel my love
Soft as a dove
Caress you from Heaven above.

We will meet again
But until then
We all will have to wait.

Until tomorrow
You will feel sorrow
I will be standing by Heaven's Gate.

Please find peace
So that your pain will cease
Our love will never end.

I can promise you this
It is far more than a wish
My dears, we will meet again.
