Vittorio Fiola Obituary
Vittorio V. Fiola, 72, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2014 after a long illness. He was born in Maida, Italy to the late Tommaso and Vincenzina Fiola. Vittorio immigrated to Nyack in 1958. He worked for Lederle / Pfizer.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Roberta. He is survived by his daughter Marie E. Young and her husband Michael of Valley Cottage, NY and three grandchildren, Ryan, Brandie and Jeannine.
Vittorio is also survived by five siblings, Anthony and Nina Fiola, Angela and Gino Tosi, Nina and Don Whitfield, Sal and Kathy Fiola, and Concetta and Chris Conkling.
He was predeceased by his sister Mary Talese of Australia and his brother Fank of Florida. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
Visiting will take place today (Tuesday) from 4pm until 8 pm at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Ann's RC Church in Nyack. Interment will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Ln. New City, NY 10956.

I will never forget Victor. We served as ushers together at St. Ann's for many years. He was always optimistic and never worried if we might not have enough help for ushering and the collections. He was an inspiration to me - I always wished that I had his good attitude and sense of security. I will miss him greatly, and St. Ann's will too.
May God grant him eternal rest & peace.

Victor and Roberta were special cousins to us. Our family shared many happy, fun and loving occasions through the years. We were overcome when Roberta passed and so very sorry to hear of Victor's passing. They are both together, free of pain, and watching over their loved ones. Judy, Mike and the Mastroserio/Degati family send their thoughts, love and sympathy.

One of the best friend a person could have. Will always remember our square dancing at Bear Mountain. Our many rides in Nyack " looking for girls ". Many happy memories. I'm glad that date with Roberta was a good one ! Your friend, Dominic

Marie and Family
My condolences to you. Victor as we called him by that name at Lederle Labs was a great guy and funny. I worked with his wife Roberta before she passed. They are now both reunited in a better place without any illness. God Bless!
