William Jacobowitz Obituary
William Bernard Jacobowitz passed away at the age of 86 on October 31, 2013 as he lived, surrounded by family and love. A long time resident of Rockland County, he currently resided with Shirley, his wife of 61 years, in Nanuet, NY. William was born on March 4, 1927 to Abraham and Miriam in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. After serving in WW2 in Counter Intelligence, William became the second generation of a multi-generational jewelry manufacturing business which continues to this day.
His passions in life included The Giants, race horses, story-telling, and his family who he was always proud of. He is survived by his wife Shirley, his daughters Lynn and Marla and their spouses Stuart and Rich, and his grandchildren Marisa and her husband Patrick, Ashley and her husband Doug, Jared and Alex.
Funeral services will be held 12pm on Sunday, at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel in Paramus, NJ. Donations in his memory may be directed to Full Circle Equine Centered Activities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
