Mother Isabel Iona Arnold, 99, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother went home to be with the Lord on 7 November 2012.  Mother Arnold was born August 31, 1913 in Cincinnati, Ohio where she lived and attended public schools.  She later moved to Columbus, Ohio where she raised her family.  She was employed in several positions over a period of 50 years before finally retiring in 1983 at the age of 70 as a Real Estate Eligibility Clerk with the State of Ohio.  She then transitioned to Lompoc, California in 1990 to live with her daughter. 
Upon arriving in Lompoc, she became an advocate for senior citizens and a volunteer in a variety of positions at the Lompoc Community Center where she was lovingly referred to as "momma".  In her retirement years, Mother Arnold also had the opportunity to travel and live in Germany and New Mexico sharing her sweet spirit and loving touch with all those she met.  Mother Arnold was also a member of True Vine Bible Fellowship where she served in various ministries throughout the years.  She will be remembered for her warm smile and gentle character. 
Mother Arnold is survived by her children Charles W. Arnold (Jean), Columbus, Ohio; Maggie (Margaret) White, Lompoc, California; Stella Jackson, Mary E. Neal, Luther J. Arnold, and Diana M. Pierce, all of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of relatives and close friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Greene; sister, Charlotte Greene; and precious son James Arnold. 
Mother Arnold lived a long, wonderful life, and she will be missed by her family and friends which include her church family and the caring nurses and staff at the Lompoc Convalescent Care Center.   
There will be a viewing on Friday, 16 November 2012 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. for the family; and from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. for friends at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, 123 North A Street in Lompoc, California. 
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, 17 November 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at True Vine Bible Fellowship, 533 S. Avalon, Lompoc, California with Pastor Darryl Fort officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.   
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mother Arnold's name to the True Vine Bible Fellowship Family Life Center Building Program or charity of choice.
