Terry Ray Cooper of McKinney, Texas passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born on June 1, 1944, in Lompoc, California, to Raymond and Grace Carol (Gehr) Cooper. Terry graduated from Lompoc High School in 1962.

Following high school, Terry proudly served in the United States Navy for nine years. He served aboard ballistic missile submarines, a role that reflected his dedication, discipline, and commitment to his country. Terry joined the Navy prior to his marriage, and his years of service remained an important and respected part of his life.

Terry later met the love of his life, Rosalind Lee Cooley. They were married on December 4, 1965, in Hampton, Virginia, and shared many years filled with cherished moments.

Terry worked in computer equipment sales and was known for his friendly nature and warm smile. He enjoyed fishing, collecting rocks, and talking with people wherever he went, especially at flea markets. Terry was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and openly shared his faith. He often spoke with gratitude about the blessings of his family.

Terry's love and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalind Cooper of McKinney, Texas; his sons, Christopher Cooper and wife Kassy of Anna, Texas, and Raymond Cooper and wife Tammy of Wylie, Texas; his grandchildren, Jonathan Cooper, Christopher Cooper Jr., Krystal Craft and husband Morgan, Abby Grace Cooper, Lily Cooper, and Rush Cooper; his great-grandchild, Sadie Mae Cooper; his brother, Wayne Cooper and wife Sharon of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his sister, Erica Eden of Whidbey Island, Washington; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2026 at Cottonwood Creek Church, 1015 Sam Rayburn Tollway, Allen, Texas 75013.

Terry will be inurned with United States Navy Honors in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
