Michael Hilley Obituary

MICHAEL "MIKEY" HILLEY
 1952 - 2009

A celebration of life service for Michael "Mikey" Hilley, 56, of Lompoc, will be held at the Lompoc Cemetery Pavilion at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2009.  Mike passed away due to cancer on March 17th, 2009 at the Lompoc Valley Medical Center.  His battle with cancer was more than courageous for over 7 years.
Mike was born to his late father Sam Hilley, and his surviving mother Alice Hilley on March 27th 1952 in Glendale, CA.  He is survived by his two brothers, Frank & Sam Hilley, only daughter Kym Hilley-Seaman (Marmolejo), only grandson Layne Hilley and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his awesome biker brothers!
Mike graduated from Lompoc High School in 1971.  His greatest passion was his Harley Davidson's, he could build them better than any store bought model and he rode shootin' the gap with his throttle WFO.  As his elementary school best friend "Grego" says…the short journey Mikey had was fun filled and more exciting than most experience in a century.  His legacy will truly be remembered and greatly missed.
Arrangements are with Starbuck- Lind Mortuary.

I am truly saddened to learn of my cousin Mike's passing. I have very fond memories growing up together in Lompoc along with my other cousins, aunts and uncles. As we move in different directions in life sometimes there is a distance other than just miles and for that I do have regret. I will miss
him! However, I have a lifetime of great times to recall even as I write these words!
