Christopher Clark Obituary

Christopher Leon Clark, 50, of Lucketts, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2024. He was the husband of Rachael Elenka Clark. Born on June 15, 1973, in Washington, DC, he was the son of Dudley Leon Clark and Nikki Stavrou Swain. At an early age, Chris demonstrated a love for music. Starting with the trumpet at age nine, he expanded his musical talents with the drums, guitar, piano, and singing. He wrote and recorded his own original music and performed professionally on the East Coast for several years. Chris was also a gifted man of business, working in strategic sales and management positions at leading information technology companies in Northern Virginia. Chris loved the outdoors, antiques, ethnic cuisine, traveling and taking trips with his family, and had a passion for cars. Above all, Chris deeply loved his family and friends, always seeking to help those in need. He could light up a room when he entered it with his smile and humor, had a dedication and passion for life, and was treasured by his family. He made an impact on every life he touched, and his legacy will live on through those that were blessed by his love. Chris is survived, in addition to his wife and parents, by son Christopher London Clark and daughter Kaitlyn Elenka Clark, brothers and sisters Matthew Clark, Justin Swain, Jonathan Swain, Matthew Swain, and Becky Swain. As family was so important to him, central to his life included his grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 8 from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE, Leesburg, Virginia. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9 at 1:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, with a graveside service to immediately follow at Ketoctin Baptist Church & Cemetery at 16595 Ketoctin Church Road, Purcellville, Virginia. Chris's 50th Birthday

I’ve known Chris since he was three years old. I saw him grow from childhood, through adolescence, young adulthood and then into manhood. Chris had a big heart and loved his family and friends without exception. He never said a negative thing about those he loved. I saw Chris frequently and cannot remember an unhappy visit with him. We had some great conversations about history, economics, religion, arts & culture, literature, movies, etc., he could talk about almost any subject, but we would ALWAYS end up talking about politics. He loved hearing my stories about Cuba. We did not always agree on all the other stuff, but we agreed on politics 99% of the time, making our conversations great, albeit boring at times. I will always treasure in my heart spending his 50th birthday with him and watching him blow out the candles on his cake---ALL of them. Chris was like a son to me—a son that I wish I had. I will miss our visits and seeing his amazing smile which would light a room.

I love you Chris, Uncle Ef

This is Gil, Clark, Christopher's Uncle. It is with deep sadness, that Estela and I have learned of Christopher's passing. He was a wonderful, kind, generous, and loving nephew, and Estela and I offer our condolences to his wife, children and family. Estela and I remember with fondness being in Christopher and Rachael's home, and playing music, singing together, eating great food, and enjoying the great family atmosphere of love, sharing, and happiness. We had wonderful visits and will always remember Christopher's optimism, brilliance, accomplishments, and success that he had in life. Our thoughts will eternally be with him, and his loved ones. Rest in peace, dear Christopher. We will love you forever. Gil and Estela.

My heart aches to hear this news. I so admired his musical talents. I'll always remember, when he was much younger, calling upon me to help design a cover for a musical CD. It was such a pleasure and fun project working with him and his ideas. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time.
