Albert Clegg Obituary

NABB - Clegg, Albert M., 87, died on Friday, February 28, 2014.

He was born on June 6, 1926 in Scott County, IN, the son of the late Carl Clegg Sr., and Ella (Zollman) Clegg. Albert graduated from Lexington High School in 1944 and later was married on June 16, 1951 to Edith M. Robbins.

He was a retired supervisor for the U. S. Army Corp. of Engineers in Louisville, Kentucky and also a former employee of the old Quarter Master Depot. Albert was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines, a former member of the old Rainbow Strollers Square Dance Club and an avid gardener.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Frieda Close and Frances Stoffregen; and a brother, Junior Clegg.

Survivors include his wife, Edith M. Clegg; two sons, Marty A. (Brenda) and Garry L. Clegg; two sisters, Rose Wininger and Betty Barnard; two brothers, Herman Clegg and Dale Clegg; four grandsons, Barry, Mark, Brad and Derek Clegg and three great-grandsons, Keenan, Joshua and Simon Albert Clegg and a grand puppy and companion, Chloe.

Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Barnes Community Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
