Becky Wahl Obituary
Becky was a Math Teacher at Manual High School. She also taught at and attended Presentation Academy, where she was an accomplished athlete in volleyball, basketball and softball. She was named to the 1993 State Volleyball All Tournament Team and the 1994 Regional Basketball All Tournament Team. Becky was also a graduate of Spalding University where she played volleyball and basketball. She was an avid UL sports fan. Becky loved her dogs and her precious newborn, Carter Jett.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest and Mildred Wahl.
Left to cherish her memory includes her parents, Larry and Linda Wahl; daughter, Carter; brother, Ricky; sister, Lisa; the love of her life, Todd Ash and his daughter, Josi.
Becky is also survived by her grandparents, Bill and Mildred Scharre; aunt, Linda (Tom) Kinderman; uncles, Bruce and Brian Scharre; cousins, Stacey (Jonathan) Leachman and Scotty (Norah) Kinderman; as well as numerous extended family members, friends and students.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2040 Buechel Bank Road. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, checks be made out to the Carter Jett Ash Education Fund and sent to the funeral home.

Some years later I think fondly on this magnificent woman and teacher. I hope the daughter she always wanted and finally received is thriving. As a student of your moms, just know she wanted you more than anything and even without her there, you will succeed and thrive.

Ms. Wahl will be missed. She was my math teacher this passed school year. She always had a smile on her face and she loved telling jokes and making people laugh! In February she told her students that she was pregnant and she was looking forward to seeing her daughter face for the first time. Ms. Wahl will be missed in my heart forever.

Tood, Carter, Jessie and the whole Whal family. Words can not express how sorry to hear of Becky's passing. Know that she was more than just a patient she was a loved friend. I will miss that phone call about 2:30 going Linda it's Becky can I get in. She always had a smile on her face and ready to take on the world. I will truly miss her and her friendship.

I will miss Ms. Wahl with all my heart! She was my math teacher this passed school year and was my best teacher I have ever had! she taught with passion and cared for what she taught and who she taught. I will never forget Ms. Wahl and she will always be in my heart

Mrs. Wahl made me overcome one of the subjects I struggled with most -- math. She gave me the choice to give up and switch into an easier class or push myself in hers. I realized I could do it with my determination and her guidance, and I will always be grateful for that lesson. My condolences go out to her family.

I am so very sorry. My daughter Jennifer Davis had Ms. Wahl for her teacher at Manual. She said that she was the nicest teacher in the whole school and the only teacher everyone loved. She was so looking forward to her baby. We are so sorry for your loss.
