Benjamin F. Risner

RISNER, BENJAMIN F., 90, of Okolona, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Baptist Home East. He was a native of Bell County and a retired teacher for the Jefferson County Board of Education and taught at Southern High School from 1952-1976. He received his MA Degree from Duke University. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Fourth Avenue Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred "Thomas" Risner. He is survived by his daughter, Gloria Prunty (Randall); son, Harold Risner (Brenda); three granddaughters, Terri, Hollie and Nikki; and five great- grandchildren. His funeral service will be at noon on Tuesday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona, with burial in Cornett's Chapel Cemetery in Annville, KY. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday.
