Cecil Gentry Obituary
Mr. Gentry retired from General Electric after 35 years of service, and was a U.S. Army World War II Pacific disabled veteran and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church.
Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, George and Mary Gentry.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Mathys Gentry; sons, Allen (Connie) and Wayne (Sandy) Gentry; daughter, Sue Pate (Butch); brother, Charles Gentry; grandchildren, Devin Rossini (Tony), Patsy Allen (Gregg), Clint Gentry, Angie Campisano (Kevin) and Veronica Allen; great-grandchildren, Ava and Mia Rossini, Daniel Campisano and Kaela Poteet; great-great-grandchildren, Addison, Bryce, Presley and Lillian.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst.

Thinking of the entire Gentry Family during this time of loss. I remember Mr Gentry as a wonderful neighbor and family friend. My parents (Ruben and Earlene Minton) and my siblings lived in the little white house behind them. I think it belonged to Mr Gentry's parents. I have fond memories of the Gentry family from my youth.
