Daniel Wooldridge Obituary
Louisville - 74 of Leitchfield died Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his residence.
He was a retired general contractor.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Dorothy Marie Wooldridge,
and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son; Gregory L. Wooldridge (Cheryl);
Brothers, Tommy, Robbie, and Joseph Wooldridge; sister, Donna Sue Wooldridge; companion; Lynn Cockrel; and grandsons, Gregory and Brian Wooldridge.
His funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. CST Monday at Dermitt Funeral Home, 306 West Main Street, Leitchfield KY, and 2-8 p.m. EST Tuesday at Embry-Bosse.
Memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus.

Big Dan as we called him was a great friend and talented contractor. I knew him when I lived in Louisville back in the 80's. If you knew him very long you couldn't excape getting a nickname from Dan that would stick foreever. I feel fortunite that I had the opportunity to visit him in September in Lietchfield after too many years of just chatting on the phone occasionally. We had some good laughs and shared some great memories. I had the good fortune to visit with Kevin as well. While I didn't have a chance to see Lynn I have come to know what a caring and loving person she is. Dan was blessed to have her in his life. I wish I could be there in person this week. We will miss you Dan. Till we meet again, Happy Trails.

Such a sweet and kind man, my grandkids have always seen the "Real Santa", as they called him, every year. We enjoyed seeing him at the lodge in Rough River and the times we invited him to Pine Knob. Prayers for family and friends..
