We were so sorry to hear of Dave's death. Tracy was the first baby he took care of when he came to Charlestown, and Jeff liked him so much that he ran away from home once to see "my Docker Jzhons". Since we moved to Corydon, and the last baby (Katie) grew up, we haven't seen him, but he will surely be missed.

I want to express our deepest appreciation for the care given to us by Dr. Jones. He saved my husbands left eye and restored the vision. We are very sorry for your loss.

Dr. Jones delivered all three of our daughters. He loved babies and children. Once when a shot had to be given, he told his assistant "Let me leave the room first, I don't want her to associate pain with me!" We won't see that kind of compassion and love again.

MY FIRST MEETING WITH DR. JONES WAS NOVEMBER 1962, I WAS 9 MONTHS PREGNANT. HIS OFFICE WAS ABOVE THE OLD BANK, UP ABOUT 50 STEPS. I WAS HUFFING AND PUFFING UP AND DR. JONES AND ROSIE WERE GIVING ME LOTS OF ENCOURAGEMENT. HE WAS ALWAYS GIVING ENCOURAGEMENT TO OUR FAMILY. OUR MEMORIES ARE OF A GREAT COUNTRY DOCTOR AND A WONDERFUL HUMAN BEING THAT WILL BE TRULY MISSED.

Joe, John & Marianne:
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a special man. He touched many lives through his medical practice and did many good things for the Charlestown Community. Aside from being "Dr. Jones" he was Husband, Dad, Grandfather, Best Friend. I have many fond memories of your Dad and family. Please know that I am thinking of each of you during this difficult time. You have my deepest sympathy.

I have so many fond memories of Dr. Jones. As a child I remember how funny he was when I would have to go to the doctors office which was never somewhere you looked forward to going. He made a not so happy day much better. I would ALWAYS ask for him first. I really loved him. He was a special man and I will alway have fond memories of him. He was a wonderful doctor and a great figure in the community. The loss of such a wonderful man is felt deeply. My heart goes out to you.
