Kapfhammer, Edward,
Mr. Edward S. "Ed" Kapfhammer, Sr., 62, native of Louisville, a 1972 graduate of Bishop David High School. United in Marriage May 14, 1977 to Theresa "Terry" Randall at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He opened and operated Mr. Gattis from 1979-2003. From 2005 until his death he owned and operated The Boat Works in Madison. Edward died on Monday at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Survivors: wife, Terry; sons, Edward, Jr., Matt, & Phil; 5-grandchildren; brothers, Michael & James; sisters in law, Sherra & Nancy; father in law: Charles. Funeral: Friday, 11 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Madison; Visitation: Thursday 4-8 pm Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, IN; Memorials: The Conductive Learning Centre of Greater Cincinnati. So sorry to have Ed leave us--all too early. He was a fine employer and had a strong work ethic. He was very good with people. Customers saw that readily. I pray that the Lord Yeshua (Jesus Christ) blesses his entire family abundantly. Shalom to them all.

To the Kapfhammer Family: My condolences to Ed's family. Although I didn't personally know Ed I did know Mike from little league baseball and as his classmate at Bishop David. We grew up together for a while in Shively . Mike had shared condolences with me when my brother passed away back in March 2011 . I am currently in Florida and my sincere condolences and thoughts are with you. May God be with you and your family during these sad times....Sincerely Artie Olliges

Ed was a great man making all he touched feel loved. We all are given something from the great people we encounter. I know what Ed has given me and I know he has given the same to thousands more.
