Mrs. Zehnder was my all time favorite teacher. She taught we me in 8th grade at Fern Creek High School in the 70s. I am 58 years old now. My own mother lived out of state and Mrs. Zehnder took me under her wing and took a personal interest in me. She took me to plays at school, out to dinner, to movies and to the mall. I even sat with her mother sometimes. I have thought of her often. She had a great influence on my life. Such a wonderful lady! I wish I could have seen her again to let her know how much I appreciated everything she did for me.

Dear Cal and the rest of the family,
We want to let you know that you've been in our thoughts. Eleanor was such a kind and loving person that touched so many lives. We wish we could be there in person to lend support and comfort. You have such a terrific family and we hope you know how important you all are to all of the Philpott family.
In sympathy and best wishes...

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your Mom. My Mom died in Jan 2006, not many original people left in the old neighborhood. May God give you comfort in your time of need.

Mom "Z"
You will be missed...
I will always remember your true love and energy you had for the teaching profession. I was lucky enough to have you as a teacher and as a friend... My life has been fuller because of you and for that I thank you. You have been blessed to have been surrounded by a loving family and Husband (Dad "Z")and I too have been lucky enough to know them as well...
May you Rest in Peace in Gods loving arms, and I look forward to the day that you and I meet again...
