Just today found out that my dear friend, Frances, had gone to her maker. We had some great times together and my world will be a sadder place. The good thing is that we can hold our precious memories in our heart and they will keep Frances close to us, always! So sorry that I am just now expressing condolences and, had I known, I would have been there for one last visit. Peace and Love to each of you!

Frances was the first person I met when I nervously entered the MSSD (DHS) Personnel Office to fill out an application for a Social Worker I position in 1977. She was then and always warmly welcoming, reassuring, friendly and humorous.
A few years later after her first heart surgery when she could only work part time, I worked with her in her capacity of Nutrition Site Manager at Sun Valley. Her natural leadership coupled with her knowledge of the people of Valley Station made my job a pleasure. It was our program's loss when she was able to return to full time employment in ‘the front office.'
When I moved into positions of greater administrative responsibility, I came to really appreciate Frances' abilities and demeanor. By then her ‘long view' and history with the Department and knowledge of community agency heads and government officials provided insights that were invaluable. She was an indispensable member of our administrative team.
I will always remember Frances with great fondness and deep gratitude.
