I am so sorry for your loss. Fred was a wonderful person. Radio is fun--but with Fred in the mix it always seemed to be just a little more enjoyable! Getting to spend "off-time" with both Fred and you in Nashville will always be a fond memory. Fred was one of a kind and I will sorely miss his sense of humor and his smile.

I knew Fred through Regent. He would come to Grand Rapids on occasion and we loved every visit he would make here. I've worked here for 14 years and Fred was the nicest manager ever! He always took time to say "Hi" before going to a meeting or when he would call he'd always say hi and ask about my son. It meant a lot to me. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My heart aches for the entire Murr family. I know you will take comfort in your memories. I have countless memories of Fred, and in all of them he is laughing, and full of joy. I can picture him at camp, shooting 9 holes, in the basement on Susanna playing games, and in Papa and Uncle Eddie's dining room telling stories and jokes. In every image his is smiling and enjoying his family. Fred was a special man, he will be missed by us all.
