Bonnie and Family,

Dear Murr Family,
I worked for Regent in the 90's and Fred was fantastic to work with and work for. I'm sure you already know this, but Fred was an outstanding person and he will sadly be missed. Even though we were no longer part of the Regent radio group, we always considered Fred part of our family. Fred and his family are in Erie's thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. Fred was a wonderful person. Radio is fun--but with Fred in the mix it always seemed to be just a little more enjoyable! Getting to spend "off-time" with both Fred and you in Nashville will always be a fond memory. Fred was one of a kind and I will sorely miss his sense of humor and his smile.

Dear Murr Family,
I worked with Fred in the Radio Industry in the 70's and 80's. This was the "good old days"of radio. We have so many good memories of our radio family. Fred was so special. What a wonderful voice. He was the highlight of so many of our events. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss.

Family & Friends, I met Fred fom our golf trips to Myrtle Beach and instantly was impressed with his humor, candor and the person. Too short is our time here and too little of Fred to go arround.

We started out in radio within a week of one another at WINN in Louisville. We remained friends over the years and always shared a laugh and an adult beverage or two at various radio gatherings. He'll be missed by many.

I knew Fred through Regent. He would come to Grand Rapids on occasion and we loved every visit he would make here. I've worked here for 14 years and Fred was the nicest manager ever! He always took time to say "Hi" before going to a meeting or when he would call he'd always say hi and ask about my son. It meant a lot to me. He will truly be missed. I have my communion picture still hanging of all the class and remember him and all the Murrs fondly. I am so sorry to hear about Fred's death. I want you to know that he was one of my very favorite bosses in radio and I have been in for over 20 years. I have thought of him often over the last year and it has brought back many happy memories of our time at Mix 93. Our sales trips to Vegas remain a highlight. Please know his friends in Kansas City are very sad to lose him.

My heart aches for the entire Murr family. I know you will take comfort in your memories. I have countless memories of Fred, and in all of them he is laughing, and full of joy. I can picture him at camp, shooting 9 holes, in the basement on Susanna playing games, and in Papa and Uncle Eddie's dining room telling stories and jokes.
