Gerald Stith Obituary
Louisville - 72 of Shepherdsville passed away on Tuesday September 21, 2021, at
U of L Hospital South after an illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest E. and Vernice Williams Stith and a brother Ernest Michael Stith.
Jerry was the owner and operator of JC's Cigarette Outlets for over 25 years, the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Opal's Dream Foundation, 2016 Bell Award winner, a member of Southeast Christian Church, a Kentucky Colonel and a veteran of the Kentucky Air National Guard.
Jerry is survived by his wife Janet Stith of Shepherdsville, his children Rebecca Brown (Michael) of Mt. Washington, Steven Stith (Vaneisa) of Louisville and Brandon Morris, M.D. of Shepherdsville, his siblings Elizabeth Jenison (Dick) of St. Augustine, Fl, Robert Stith, Lt. Col USAF ret. (Bonnie) of Mt. Washington, a sister in law Sylvia Stith of Perry, Ga. and his grandchildren Mason, Avery and Owen Stith.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday at the Chapel in the Woods, 407 Moser Rd. Louisville, KY 40299 with entombment to follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.
Visitation will be on Sunday at Schmid Funeral Home, 9500 Highway 44 East, Mt. Washington Kentucky from 1-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. till 10:15 a.m.
Memorial contributions to Opal's Dream Foundation, 689 Heritage Hill Parkway, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.

I just learned of Jerry´s passing today. Jerry and I went to Butler High School together and were neighbors, and good friends. I remember his dad and brothers Mike and Bobby and their German shepherd Trooper. We reconnected online several years ago but only occasionally. He was a good guy. The entire family has my sympathy.
