Coach Sturtzel was my first period instructor freshman year of high school. He made us realize from the start that it wasn't going to be as bad as the grade school nuns had led us to believe. What a really great guy, football and life coach he was!!! "Chester" Fields

Gil, I remember our great days at St. X and all the good things we were provided by the Brothers, but mostly the faith they instilled in all of us. And God bless Barbara and all your family. Love Jane and Tom Elpers

Many thanks to a wonderful person who made the "Yankee" from the East Coast, very welcome to the Commonwealth Life family. I loved his sense of humor, his business acumen, love for sports, and his love for people and our great industry.
May you rest in peace, Gil. And Peace to Barbara and the entire family.
