Glenn Mercke Obituary
Louisville - Glenn Evans Mercke, 73, of Louisville passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021.
Glenn's greatest loves in life were his children, his grandchildren and the many summers he spent at Douglas Lake in Michigan. Glenn worked hard his entire life to build a successful business and was the proud owner of Mercke Co, Inc, working until his death.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Evans 'Dee' and Louise Mercke. He is survived by his two children; Brian Mercke (Erin) and Sarah Norris (Patrick); his grandchildren Katarina, James and William Mercke, Olivia and Emma Norris; his brother, William 'Bill' Mercke and his sister, Jeannie Lou Eberhardt (Tommy); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. Glenn will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out with prayers and well wishes throughout the week and to the Hosparus team who provided comfort to Glenn during his final hours.
Visitation 3-7 pm Tuesday February 9, 2021, at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to grow up with Glenn as my closest neighbor & friend!
So many great memories and a few not so great like the night his treehouse caught fire...

NEVER GOT TO KNOW GLEN THAT WELL SOME TIMES AT BIRTHDAYS.SURE HE WILL BE MISSED BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS SO SAD, PRAYERS FOR FAMILY.

We became good friends with Glenn when he built our home. Over the past 18 years, I called on him many times to work with me on projects, and he was always there to help. Glenn was an over-the-top professional, and one of the most pleasant and gracious people I have ever known. We are sorry for your loss, and he will never be forgotten in our house.
