Grace Gottbrath Obituary

Grace Milligan Gottbrath, 86, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday at Franciscan Health Center. The former Grace Allan Milligan, she was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and St. Anne Confraternity and the Catholic Golden Age Club Chapter One. She was a former secretary at the League of Catholic PTA of Louisville. She was a survivor of the polio epidemic of 1952. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Gottbrath and a grandson, Jamie V. Gottbrath. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Nancy and Bob Howard; four sons and their wives, Vincent H. and Linda Gottbrath, David G. and Carlene Gottbrath, Gary J. and Lynn Gottbrath, all of Louisville, and Paul E. and Cathy Gottbrath of Florence, KY; sister, Patricia L. Quill of Louisville; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Brian Huff, Josh Howard, Julie Gottbrath, Sally Gottbrath, Aaron Gottbrath, Andrew Gottbrath and Laurin-Whitney Gottbrath. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Virginia Schook and Mary Lou Anderson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More church. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Friday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7330 Southside Drive, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Anne Confraternity or Mt. Saint Francis Retreat Center.
