Harry Anson Obituary

ANSON, HARRY CALVIN, 75, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Clark Memorial Hospital. Harry was born in Bennettsville, IN. He graduated from Silver Creek High School, Oakland City College, and Indiana University. He is a retired US Navy captain, and also worked for Haas Cabinet, Faucett Printing, State of Indiana, Warrick Co. School Corporation, and ISTA. Harry was an active member of the Historic Kiwanis Club of New Albany and a life member of the Grand Lodge of AF & AM, Springfield, IL. Harry was a community activist and involved in local politics. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Angie Anson; a sister, Mary Lou; and a brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife, Jeannine; a son, John (Pamela Sanderson), of Paradise Valley, AZ; a daughter Carol White ( Randy), of Sellersburg, IN; grandsons, Trent Anson and Brandon White; two brothers, James "Jim" Anson, of New Albany and Ted Anson, of Mishawaka; and many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation: 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Home, with a memorial service celebrating his life beginning at 3 p.m. At his wishes, his body was donated to the IU School of Medicine for Medical Research and Education.
