Iris Hargan Welsh Obituary
Louisville - Mrs. Iris Marie Hargan Welsh, age 76, of Borden, IN, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 5, 2018 peacefully with her family by her side.
Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Charles Welsh; her parents, Gilbert, Sr. and Emma (Higdon) Hargan; her brother, Gilbert Hargan, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, LeeAn Stanley Hess and Mary Beth Stanley Smithson; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren whom she loved and enjoyed so much; sisters, Judith H. Lamb and Janet H. Blatz (Ted); her precious Winston and a host of other family and friends.
Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at St. Rita Catholic Church (8709 Preston Hwy., Louisville) with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.)
The family would like to express their gratitude to her wonderful team of doctors, Melissa Barrett, John Huber, Jr., Dr. Scharf, Jonathan Hodes and Dr. Ramaswamy and also to the special people in her life, Gene Vine, Kay Power, Robin Farris, Lisa Lang, Kevin Goedeker, all of whom made her life so much more pleasant. Thank you so much my friends.
