Linda, just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of the loss of John. I only met him that one time over at the Bowman Fields hangar for some event. Your memories of him will keep him alive in your heart and soul. My prayers go out to you and the family in your time of loss.

A considerable amount of time has slipped away since I last saw Duke and Patsy. However, many times good memories of both crossed my mind. Duke was a great person who genuinely cared about the well being and happiness of his friends and family. And he loved life and helping others enjoy theirs. I think of him and smile as I remember his smile and how he enjoyed making others laugh. He was a good man who will liven up heaven with his goodness.

Although I have not seen John for a few years now, I will always remember him as such a warm, kind and fun-loving guy... He always had a smile on his face and a zest for life. I was so sad to learn John passed away and want to extend my warmest wishes and condolences to all his family but most especially to Pat Lanham, a truly great gal. No question in my mind that John will be deeply missed by many. He truly left his mark both professionally and personally. Rest in peace, John, and know that there are many of us who will cherish our memories of you with deep fondness and love.

Dear Linda,Jackie and Leigh,
I am so sorry to see Johnnie Joe leave us. Being his first cousin six years younger, I always thought his exploits were exciting, energetic and admirable. As an adult I find my first impression was accurate.

He will be missed by all of us.

Sincerely, Tom Holtz Sr.

Linda I'm so sorry for your loss. I still look for him every time we go to church. After over 20 years sitting next to him every Sunday church will never be the same. He was so full of love and laughter and we will miss him greatly.

My thoughts and prayers to John's family. I knew John from our weekly Exercise Class, "Silver Sneakers." He truly loved his family and friends and was a real servant to all wherever he was.

Take comfort in the words of Apostle Paul , "We walk by faith not by sight. We are confident and willing to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." (2 Cor. 5:7-8)
