John D. Knadler

John D. Knadler, 86, of Louisville, passed away Thursday at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a retired carpenter for F.W. Owens, where he worked for over 30 years, a member of Carpenters Union Local #64 and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and an Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Duttlinger; six sons, Daniel J., Thomas A. and his wife, Rhonda, James S. and his wife, Mary Ann, Robert J., Paul G. and Stephen P. Knadler; three daughters, Sarah "Sally" Knadler, Mary "Patricia" Knadler and Nancy Jean Knadler; two sisters, Lillian Kammer and Mary Jane Spalding; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stuart Knadler. His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi, 1960 Bardstown Rd., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman's Family Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Rd. Expressions of sympathy may go to Mass of the Air or St. Xavier High School.
