John McCord Obituary
73, passed away March 23, 2016.
He was a catholic by faith a retired Iron Worker for Local # 70 and a horse trainer at Churchill Downs and Turfway Park, a 30 year member and mentor to Alcoholics Anonymous.John was preceded in death by his wife Brenda I. (Barnes) McCord, sister Lois McCord.
He is survived by his children Karen W. Hedgecock (Charles), Mark E. Quinton (Tena), Tracy A. Hall and Danny Quinton (Diane); eight grandchildren; sister Cheryl Ryan (Kenneth).
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday after 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Donations to A.A.

Just saw you that Monday @ a meeting and I didn't know you were sick and that it was going to be the last time I see you on this side,but I will see you again on the other side,God has you and I know he said WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.I love you as a great friend.God bless the family .

all of the retirees at our union meeting will miss John and his horse tales. we all have work stories of jobs worked with John some that are comical. to the family, he now is in a better place .
