Caring thoughts are with Sharon, Patty Jo, Mark and the rest of Joe's family. I remember all he did for the church and us kids as I was growing up. Joe always had a cheerful smile and a "hi, how ya doing?" that you knew was sincere. I'll always be grateful for the friend he was to my Dad who remembers fondly the times he spent with Joe, serving at church or sharing in men's fellowship. I know I speak for my family in extending our heartfelt sympathies and the hope that wonderful memories will be comforting at this time. Love and hugs,
Sue

I just want to say he was a very kind man and the one thing I will miss is his big smile. I never saw him without it. No matter what was going on, he was just a happy person and made you happy just being around him. God will certainly enjoy the smile and I know you will enjoy being able to give it. No more pain, just happiness being with your Lord.

I am unable to express how saddened I am that I have lost my Uncle Joe.
Although only 14 years older than me, I looked up to him as a father figure, and he was the yardstick by which I measured all men in my life---and none could ever compare.
He was funny, caring, artistic and if Uncle Joe couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed.
He was always there for meas a child and as an adult, as constant as the Northern Star.
I know that he is now at rest, and in a better place and that is the only comfort that I have. We were so blessed to have had him in our lives
