Joshua Gaither Obituary
Joshua Jake Gaither, 25, passed from this world on the morning of Tuesday, July 12th, 2016. Josh was a graduate of the 2009 class of South Oldham High School and went on to pursue philosophy, anthropology and creative writing at New York University. His curiosity, scholarship and poetic prowess brought him accolades and he graduated with honors in 2013.
Josh was an explorer of the universe and traveled all over the world. His journeys brought him across Africa, China, Europe and South America. During Josh's short time on this earth, he brought a wit and charm seldom seen and his sweet smile and kind spirit touched all who knew him.
He was preceeded in death by his mother and father, Teresa Ann and Marshall V. Gaither, and Aunt and Uncle Marsha and Keith Gunnels. He is survived and will be immeasurably missed by husband Shuan Sim, sister and brother in-law Jessica Barnhouse and Aleck Ross-Frye, Aunts and Uncles, Jeanne and John Hroncich, and Tom and Belinda Ennes, sister Heather Brandenburg and family, cousins McKenna and Rachel Ennes and a multitude of friends and adopted family.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 22nd, at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood, Kentucky from 11 AM to 4 PM, followed by interment at Floydsburg Cemetery.
A memorial service will also be held in Brooklyn, New York to be announced at a later date.
